John from KaijuAddicts.com here again with some great news. Diamond Distributors, the folks who keep the shelves at your local comic shops full of goodies, has announced the third wave of X-Plus kaiju figures to be re-issued. (Diamond had struck a deal with Toho and X-Plus to release re-issues strictly for the North American market.)
What’s interesting is that now, instead of the so far usual two-figures-a-quarter, we’re getting three!
X-Plus Godzilla 1964
Due to appear in the November issue of Previews and available for pre-order shortly is the much coveted and often rare X-Plus Godzilla 1964. This is a re-issue of the original X-Plus Godzilla 1964 2010 release with open mouth. (Sorry, the recent Japanese re-issue with closed mouth and light-up fins will remain just that, a Japanese re-issue and won’t be available in the west.) This figure, though, doesn’t need light-up fin gimmicks to rise up to uber high levels of badassery.
Next up is the beast from “Varan The Unbelievable” (1958), also much coveted by collectors. This will be the colorized version.
Love him or hate him, the X-Plus Minya (Minilla) will be available once again as well.
Pre-orders for all three start soon and run through, I believe, November 20th. You can order them from your local comic shop or online stores like Anime Island, Entertainment Earth and more.

And my next review will likely be the X-Plus 30cm Series Kiryu. Watch for it!
