Pacific Rim is the brainchild of Travis Beacham and Guiellrmo del Toro, and a love letter to their life-long appreciation of Japan’s tokusatsu artform and kaiju eiga. The film was decently received by critics and fans, with a hardcore, cult fanbase forming around the series’ vibrant kaiju and interesting Jaegers.
