Its incredibly hard to get a handle on the Kaiju market for us westerners. For one, the market only truly exists in Japan, where the merchandise is created, marketed, and distributed originally (about 95% of it, anyway). We here at SKREEONK! are lucky enough to have one Kaiju Collector Extraordinaire, Kaiju No Mura, as a contributor. Kaiju No Mura is an expert on kaiju collectibles, and one of the western fandom’s only sources for brand new releases. In short, he’s the bee’s knee’s.

Without further adu’, I give you Skreeonk.com’s first Collector’s Update!

BANDAI

Ultraman (teleporting version). Cost 1,200 yen (approx $15). Clear vinyl and painted. 45th Anniversary Ultraman event limited exclusive sold at the several shows only through out Japan. September 2011 release.

(This is a great idea for a figure, and would really stand out on a shelf. I’d peg it as one of the cheaper things on this list as well, as far a price goes. I’m gonna pick me up one of these! – Jon @ UnCanny)

The recent release of the limited edition Ultra Q Box Set was also available at the Parco Logos Gallery Event.
