Hey fandom, here’s another bit of art for Toho’s upcoming 2017 GODZILLA anime – And this time it’s real! Don’t worry, we’ve pulled this one directly from TOHO’s official Godzilla Anime Twitter, as you can’t trust anyone these days – including us!

Looks an awful lot like Super-X, eh? The brand new concept reinforces the futuristic setting of the upcoming anime, and was accompanied by an announcement. Twitter translates it as follows:
【30 days left to AJ 2017】 “GODZILLA” appeared on the 26th RED stage on “AnimeJapan 2017” held on March 25 (Sat) and 26 (Sun)! Information that will be released for the first time on stage is also available. COUNTDOWN As a plan, I will ban new concept art!

Toho had previously announced their presence at AnimeJapan 2017, and now it looks like we have confirmation that they will be hosting a panel and bringing exclusive reveals for the GODZILLA anime on March 25th and 26th! Fantastic! Their tweet also implies they’ll be implementing a countdown of some sort – more details on this as they arise. Here’s to hoping it involves plenty more artwork and a kaiju reveal or two.

It really does look like the super x. I loved it in “return” and “biollante” but it got a little old to me when Destoroyah came around
Will be very interesting to see further aircraft designs for the film, and to see if they pull from the lore like we’re hoping they will.
